Dundas & Wilson
Outsourcing

Dundas & Wilson has an enviable track record in advising clients on strategically important outsourcing transactions including IT outsourcing, HR and procurement outsourcing and business process outsourcing transactions in the financial services sector.

The majority of the firm's credentials are in advising customers in negotiating, re-tendering and/or terminating their existing arrangements. We recognise that implementing and managing outsourcing and offshoring transactions is a key element of companies strategies and that the decision to outsource and/or offshore requires buy-in from senior management.

Dundas & Wilson's outsourcing lawyers are all used to working as part of a wider project team to ensure that senior management's objectives are met and to provide guidance on the structuring and pricing elements of these transactions.

In order to support our outsourcing work, we have created an Outsourcing Industry Focus Group to ensure that lawyers from other disciplines (e.g. HR/Pensions, tax, financial services and projects) are kept abreast of industry developments and can contribute to the know-how of the group (which enables us to operate cohesively on large outsourcing projects).

During the last three years, members of the team have advised on over 50 outsourcing transactions in the financial services, public sector, retail and telecommunications sectors. In addition, Dundas & Wilson is represented at board level within the National Outsourcing Association and recently produced the NOA's submission to the European Commission on the reform of VAT in the financial services and insurance sectors.
