Roads and Highways

We advise Transport Scotland on the procurement of the M80 Stepps to Haggs DBFO scheme, which was the first UK competitive dialogue process for a highway scheme.

We advised the City of Edinburgh Council and their agents, tie Limited, on their proposed road user charging scheme covering both the authorisation process, including a successful outcome of the first public inquiry into road user charging and on their procurement strategy, which was used in a subsequent scheme following the referendum.

We have extensive experience of road traffic regulation orders and other road demand management measures. We advised on the award winning Edinburgh Fastlink project, one of the longest off road guided busways in the UK. We are advising on the traffic regulation orders for the Edinburgh Tram project.

We advised the Forth Estuary Transport Authority on matters of governance as well as their proposed road user charging scheme.
