UK law firm Dundas & Wilson has won an enhanced role with Land Securities Group PLC, the UK’s leading
property company.
Not only has Dundas & Wilson been re-appointed to Land Securities’ asset management panel in Scotland –
the only law firm on the panel - it has also had its role with the company extended to act on the asset
management of Land Securities’ interests in England.
The new work in England sees the firm acting on the asset management of Land Securities’ interests in
England at West 12 Shopping Centre in London and a large retail scheme in Corby.
In Scotland, Dundas & Wilson will continue to work across Land Securities’ wholly owned and joint venture
shopping centres at Livingston, Aberdeen and Glasgow and on their retail warehousing interests at Livingston
and Dundee.
The reappointment to Land Securities is another example of Dundas & Wilson’s growing reputation for its real
estate work. The latest annual Chambers Report ranked Dundas & Wilson joint first with Nabarro in the FTSE
100 Real Estate category placing it ahead of competitors Eversheds, Addleshaw Goddard and Berwin Leighton
Paisner.
Allan Wernham, real estate partner for Dundas & Wilson who led the tender team said: ”We now represent
Land Securities on approximately one third of their shopping centre assets across the UK, having until two
years ago represented them in Scotland only. We are extremely proud of this appointment, which is a great
endorsement of our focus on excellent service delivery on a consistent UK wide basis.”
Clive Ashcroft, Head of Legal Services at Land Securities, said: “The appointment of Dundas & Wilson to the
English panel is a testament to the firm’s extremely successful drive to establish itself as a UK law firm, not just
a Scottish one. Dundas & Wilson have shown a real and tangible ability to deliver not only the cost effective
provision of legal services but also, through their collaboration with the other panel firms, on Land Securities’
requirement to be recognised as the industry leader on innovation and customer focus.”
The Dundas & Wilson team was led by Allan Wernham with support from Andrew Lewry, Darina Kerr, Emma
Kennedy and Barry McHugh.
