Mark Brumwell joined D&W in 2004 as Head of the Environmental Law Group. Mark is widely recognised as a leading practitioner in environmental law and also has wide ranging experience of complementary areas of public law including town and country planning, compulsory purchase, highways and health and safety. Mark's experience includes contaminated land, water and air pollution, waste management, integrated pollution control, flood defence, water storage and abstraction, environmental taxation and corporate social responsibility.

Advises the Environment Agency on many of its flood defence schemes including the Jubilee River, the UK's largest flood defence infrastructure project.

Acts for a variety of water and sewage undertakers on the promotion of water resource, water transfer and wastewater treatment schemes and advises them on environmental issues arising from plant operations.

Advises a major environmental property developer on a number of its development projects, including a scheme to provide the largest zero carbon mixed use development in the UK.
