Peter is a partner and head of D&W’s EU and Competition Group. He specialises in providing strategic and specific advice on dealing with the EU and national competition authorities, in the context of merger filings, investigations (including cartel leniency applications), sector enquiries and complaints, and on disputes in which competition issues arise, as well as regulatory issues and general questions of EU law and practice.

Providing strategic advice to a European electricity transmission system operator on its relationship with regulatory authorities, and on specific issues including the European Commission’s ongoing energy sector enquiry.

Defending one of the Scottish processing dairies accused by the OFT of participating in a price-fixing cartel, in one of the OFT's longest-running investigations.

Advising a number of businesses on making claims for damages and other remedies arising out of infringements of the competition rules.
