Colin Boyd (Rt Hon Lord Boyd of Duncansby QC) is a former Lord Advocate and Solicitor General for Scotland. He was called to the Bar in 1983 and established a practice in planning and administrative law. He was made a Privy Counsellor in 2000 and created a Life Peer in 2006. He joined Dundas & Wilson in 2007 becoming a solicitor advocate. He is a member of the Commission on Scottish Devolution (the Calman Commission) and an Honorary Professor of Law at the University of Glasgow.
