In our immigration update bulletin in September 2009, we highlighted certain changes to Tier Two of the Immigration System.
These changes resulted from recommendations by the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC). The MAC is a non-departmental public
body set up to advise the Government on immigration matters. Some of these changes have already been implemented (such as
the more onerous advertising requirements now needed to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test).
