HR Manager, London
What did you do before life at Dundas & Wilson?
I have had some wonderful opportunities since I moved to London from Russia more than a decade ago. I have been working in the City ever since, first in a recruitment agency and then for an American law firm for 5 years.
What were your first impressions of Dundas & Wilson?
I was very impressed with how down-to-earth the people are at all levels and how humble they can be despite their obvious successes. I found my new colleagues very welcoming and just a lot of fun. It is great to be part of a dynamic and multi cultural team.
What is/are your favourite thing(s) about working for Dundas & Wilson?
Dundas & Wilson’s people are the best thing about the firm. It is hard to imagine a friendlier bunch of colleagues. There is no “them and us” culture here, and you can have the same quality of relationships with partners, solicitors or other business support colleagues.
What are your aspirations both in and out of Dundas & Wilson?
I am excited about the future of the firm and about being part of a growing office in London. The challenge for me is to continue learning about the business and be alert to the changes in the market, so that we are able to retain and attract best talent. Outside of work my first priority is spending quality time with my son who is growing up so fast and whose “Whys” are becoming more sophisticated and harder to answer.
What are the 3 best pieces of advice you have been given that you would pass on to others?
I have been fortunate to have some great mentors in my life. In their own way they taught me to count my blessings. This helps me stay positive in all situations and be a well-balanced person.
What's your most memorable occasion at Dundas & Wilson?
There are many to choose from. I guess going to the Annual Ball in Edinburgh and participating in the Deloitte network football/volleyball tournament two years in a row when I first joined stand out.
