At D&W we offer a summer placement scheme designed to give you some legal experience before starting a career in law.

Students will undertake a summer placement for 3 weeks in our London office and 6 weeks in our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. During the placement, the student will work within a team in one of our practice areas. The student will be given responsibility for a variety of tasks relating to the ongoing work in their practice area, allowing them to become a valued and integrated team member.

Students will have the opportunity to meet a number of our partners and gain exposure to other practice areas through a number of seminars and training sessions arranged specifically for the summer students.

The placement is designed to give students the opportunity to experience real work within a leading UK corporate and commercial Law Firm. The placement scheme also allows the student to learn more about Dundas and Wilson and gives the firm the opportunity to identify students who may be suitable for a traineeship. At the end of the placement, summer students who have had a successful placement may be invited to attend an interview for a traineeship with the Firm.
