The traineeship is challenging and you will work hard but you will have the opportunity to work with exciting clients on interesting deals and with some of the best lawyers in the UK.

Your two years with Dundas & Wilson will be split into four seats and you will have the opportunity to spend each six months period in a different market area. At Dundas & Wilson we have a number of market areas which enables you to receive a diverse and challenging traineeship. We make every effort to accommodate your interests and preferences when allocating your seats as we appreciate there may be a particular area of law that will appeal to you more than others.

Whilst we allocate your first seat thereafter we take your preferences into account when allocating your other three seats. There will be opportunities throughout your training contract to go on secondment to our clients and internal secondments between our offices in London and Scotland may be offered depending on business need.

Regular feedback is provided through our trainee quarterly performance reviews. There is also a comprehensive training programme tailored for our trainees including PCC training in Scotland and PSC training in England. 

On your first week of joining us you will attend a two day induction programme in Scotland before returning to your base office for a further day of local office training. Our fun and informative induction is designed to give you an insight into the workings of Dundas & Wilson and equip you with all the information you need to start a career with us.
